Care of your wool products.

We suggest that you wash less (your socks not you!)

Did you know that Wool fibres have an extraordinary surface that rejects dirt particles, as well as bad odours and perspiration?

We suggest that you wash your pure wool Merino products only when necessary as this will minimise the wear and tear on your woollen garments.

Hand washing:

Place you garment in lukewarm water (approximately 30◦C) using a mild and gentle, or Woolmark approved detergent. Soak for a period of 10 minutes before rising thoroughly firstly in lukewarm water, then finally in slightly cooler water.

Ensure that as much water has been squeezed from your garment (without strangling it) before place putting out to dry in the air naturally, preferably out of the sun.

(Tip- I was taught to place the garment on a clean bath towel, roll the towel up and leave for a minute or so. Remove the garment from towel – this removes the excess water beautifully). Allow your garment to dry in the air naturally. Do not tumble dry!

Machine washing:

Set your washing machine to the wool setting, If your machine does not have a wool cycle, then it is recommended to use the cold water wash or wash for delicate, just ensure the water temperature is not higher than 30◦C. if you use a delicate setting. Again, use a mild and gentle or Woolmark approved detergent. (Tip- please use a garment washing bag use if possible) Allow your garment to dry in the air naturally. Do not tumble dry!
